I set up Google Alerts with topics "Waiheke Holiday", "Queenstown Holiday", "Milford Sound" and "ski holiday in New Zealand"
I have been getting updates on Milford Sound on daily basis. I had to change How-Often function on "ski holiday in NZ" from once a day to as-it-happens, as I believe I will get no alerts on the topic until next June.
I think I could recommend Google alerts to any patrons interested in the development of an event like UN climate change conference Copenhagen 2009.
