Most library videos from InfoTubey Awards are cool for promoting library services. The library staff who took part in the process of making a video must have had a great fun.
Personally I liked the video “Now Your Library Is Open Late Night, Too!”, which used the concept of drive- through service in fast food restaurants to promote QandANJ service. I hope AnyQuestions in New Zealand will also have such a fun video to promote its service.
Arlington Heights Memorial Library’s Vlog was a good example that weekly videos of what’s up at the library can help patrons to be aware of various library services and make the most of them.
It was the video “Who Market With Videos?” that made me burst into laughter and proved that videos can be a good and fun marketing tool for library, especially for new digital generation of library users. It is easy to add music and create a situation in a video clip, so making it fun and grabbing the attention of audience is much easier in this medium.
